Contest: Ages 13 -17 & Ages 18 & Up
You must be at least 13 years of age to enter. Participants ages 13 to 17 must have signed parent’s permission, and the parent must remain on sight during the contest. Entries will be limited in each age group based on paid registration.
Cost is $10/in advance and $15/day of.
Early registration ends July 6 7PM.
Participants may not touch the hot dogs until the starting signal. Only entirely consumed dogs will be counted including the bun. Contestants will be timed eating 5 hotdogs (13-17 age group) & 8 hotdogs (18 & up) first to finish all 5 & 8. Buns and hot dogs may be separated, dunked or mangled. Contestants may drink only water during the contest. Partially eaten hot dogs will not be counted. Visible signs of sickness will result in disqualification. In the result of a tie an “Eat Off” will determine the winner. Winner to receive half of entry pot per group and trophy.
I know that eating large amounts of hot dogs is a potentially hazardous and uncomfortable activity. I should not enter and eat unless I am medically capable. I realize that this contest is in good fun, and I agree to be a good sport. I agree to abide by the decision of the contest officials and all of the contest rules. I assume all risks associated with eating in this type of event, including, but not limited to choking, indigestion, a gorged feeling, contact with other contestants, or a general dislike of hot dogs after I’m done. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, release and waive the Madison County Fair (Madison County Agricultural Society), its staff, the contest organizers and food providers, all sponsors, their representatives and other participants from all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, suits, or rights of action of any nature whatsoever now or in the future arising in any way out of or in connection with the Contest or related to my participation in this event. I understand that I must be present to receive any award.
