Mary Hopkins addressed the board; her son Zach missed Quality Assurance and she requested a makeup be given; request was denied.

Janet Myers reported books are being proof read; Meghan is working on 4-H camp while she is working on the fair.

Steve Hume spoke to the board about Ordinance 192-08. They are looking for felony warrants and sexual predators that are not registered to work in the county. The city will do spot checks during the fair. One fee per vendor with multiple license. Background checks should only take about 15 minutes when needed. City will contact vendors this year.

JFB report: They have enough money to cover all bills at this time. Laura is finalizing judges. Ruth is working on trophy orders.

Committee Reports:

Executive: Report given by Fisher.

Building and Grounds: Gallimore reported the tree is almost gone and most of the storm repair is done.

Leased Facilities: Stahl reported almost all campers and boats are gone.

Rife reported vendors are calling about the swap meet.

Old Business: None.

New Business: Martina Walters discussed the new web site. Fisher requested new signs for box seats; no motion. Roseberry moved to raise box seat prices from $100 to $125; Walters second; Motion passed. Walters moved to change the name of the Floral Hall to Community Building; Stahl second; Motion passed. Fisher will donate the new sign. Walters moved to accept Dr. Kipp as fiar vet for 2009; Long second; Motion passed. Stahl moved and McHenry second a motion to close all Open Class show registrations starting in 2010 on June 30 of each year; Motion passed. Long moved and Richmond second to accept state rules; Motion passed.

Richmond moved to adjourn at 8:56; Long second; Motion passed
